Marketing appeals to me as it is arguable the most important department in any business. I understand the importance of marketing for all companies, whether it be small, medium or a blue chip company. I believe it challenges how we view the world and demands creative ways of doing things. I'm particularly interested in the more creative advertising side of marketing and the psychology behind it. Marketing answers the questions Economists have always asked about the problem of scarcity and resource allocation. Studying the needs and wants of consumers make it easy to allocate these scarce resources efficiently and ensures that we meet the needs of the currently generation in a sustainable manner. Marketing can turn a fish into a shark!
