I am an accomplished, knowledgeable, and versatile SHERQ Specialist and Civil Works Technician, offering more than 25 years of extensive experience in the Building, Construction, Civil Engineering and Telecommunications industries. I hold a National Diploma in Safety Management (NADSAM) from UNISA and am currently studying for the NEBOSH International Safety Diploma through Phoenix SA. My skills and expertise are broad, ranging from the installation and maintenance of fibre optic cable networks and associated infrastructure, project management, road construction, earthworks, road infrastructure maintenance and management, as well as engineering materials, design, and construction. I leverage strong communication, technical and leadership skills to effectively resolve problems and am comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, as part of a team or, when required, on an individual basis. I possesses the ability to take initiative and manage time effectively. I am proficient in various software applications and safety management software. My diverse skill set also covers excellent facilitation, collaboration, planning and organizing skills. I am dedicated, resourceful, and detail orientated, always striving to deliver more than expected. I am customer focused and business driven and believes that SHERQ compliance is fundamentally part of any organization’s value chain to identify, manage and mitigate risk of damage or loss to ensure business continuity and sustainability as well as good corporate governance. I am known for building strong working relationships and, as project owner, played a pivotal role my previous employer's success in achieving ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification through BSI South Africa, in 2022.
