I am Connor Smal and I am currently living in Somerset West, South Africa. I graduated cum laude from Stellenbosch University in December 2019 with a BSc degree in molecular biology and biotechnology. My majors include genetics and biochemistry. I had the opportunity to pursue my honours this year. There are many different honours programmes in the science faculty that are available to me. After leaving school and applying for University, I was interested in many fields such as chemistry, engineering, physics and biology so it made it difficult for me to choose the field I wanted to study. I first applied for industrial engineering then I changed in the first week to a BSc degree in physics. I then ended up carrying my subjects over and pursued a BSc degree in molecular biology and biotechnology. After receiving my degree, I am still unsure of the direction I want to build my career I will be an asset to any company as I am an extremely hard-working individual that is a quick learner, that can think on his feet and has great time management skills. I am methodical, self-disciplined and I give 100% in everything that I do. I am persistent to achieve my goals at any cost. I am a people person and I can get along with people easily which means I find it easy to work in a team. I am extremely ambitious and want to ensure that I can reach my full potential. My main objective is to get work experience in a global market while learning new skills, expanding my knowledge and obtaining real world experience.
