I am an accomplished executive with proven track record spanning over 16 years on research, strategy development and execution, covering skills development and training initiatives for a wide range of sectors including but not limited to ICT, broadcasting, and advertising. The strategies I developed are in line with the Government priorities including the National Development Plan and the National Skills Development Strategy III. The environment I have operated in for the last 16 years has empowered me with an in depth understanding of managing skills development in South Africa. I am a results oriented, decisive leader with a proven record on corporate governance matters, driving organisational performance by building a culture of delivery, project management, and possesses an astute ability to influence at higher levels through negotiation skills. During my tenure as the Acting CEO of the Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector and Education Training Authority (MICT SETA) I formed and launched the 4IR skills development committee, comprising of CEOs and MDs from multinationals and leading South African Telecoms companies. I am a highly networked professional with solid relationships with captains of industry, and Leadership teams of both The Department of Higher Education and the Department of Communications. I have hosted the portfolio committee on higher education at our premises and also made a presentation to the same committee in parliament.
