I have 20 years experience, which includes external auditing, internal auditing, financial management, risk management and business consulting. I have a Bachelors in Accounting Science, post-graduate certificate in Public Sector Governance (NQF8) and I am in the process of completing my post-graduate certificate in Enterprise Risk Management. I completed my SAICA articles with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2006. Being highly driven and results orientated, I am a hands-on team player and don’t mind getting my hands dirty. Understanding the operations of the organisation is vital for a good finance team leader (in which ever capacity) to optimally manage the finance department, identify and mitigate risks, identify opportunities and ensuring that the strategic objectives of the organisation is achieved. Sharing ideas and creating a space where innovation is encouraged is something I strongly believe in. Motivating and empowering people is necessary to ensure that the team in turn also thrives and work congruently to achieve an organisation’s strategic objectives. Effective communication between departments is key for a company to be successful and to ensure that expectations are clear and that all employees are working towards the same goal. I am detailed orientated, diligent, highly organised, a fast learner and enjoy being challenged. I work best under pressure and value constructive criticism.
