As a trained travel consultant I have worked for37 years speaking, reading, writing and thinking in three different languages, nl. German, English and Afrikaans on a daily basis. I speak, read and write these three languages like my mother tongue German. I also understand and read Dutch and can translate into the three above mentioned languages. For two years I have worked as a secretary and personal assistant in the office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Windhoek, the founding years. Letter of recommendation is available on request. My expertise therefore lies primarily in the language area, typing as well as conflict resolution. I have translated police statements, Testament translations and translations of travel reports (in small book format). I prefer human translation but make use of CAT tools for precision and proofreading translations. I calculate my translation rate at Zar 1.50 per word, depending oncomplexity of text between 400-600 words per hour translated.
