I am currently employed by Massmart as a Manager: Anti-Corruption Compliance Monitoring for Group Compliance. I am an LLB graduate with an affinity for law, and an award winning Compliance Officer. As you will see from my CV I have worked and gained experience in Compliance over the past 9 years moreover in the Banking sector. The nature of my studies has prepped me well for this position. I studied and graduated at the University of Johannesburg, Kingsway Campus, where I completed my LLB and Post Graduate Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering which comprises the following subjects: • Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering • Certificate in Compliance Management • Corporate Governance • Basic Interpretation of Statutes I believe I would be an ideal candidate based on the fact that I have extensive knowledge in Compliance and during my tenure at Investec: • I successfully obtained an 80% AML pass rate for Private Bank for a SARB inspection • Won for 2 consecutive years (2013-2014/2017/2018) the best complaint resolution for a business in Category B banks. • Nominated for two consecutive years for best complaint resolution for an Individual in Category B banks, and won in 2018. • I was seconded to Investec Mauritius to implement AML policies, procedures and systems for a 6-month period.
