I have 24 years of multi-award winning expertise and experience in effective and innovative communications working with international advertising agencies such as Ogilvy and FCB in Johannesburg. I was recognized in 2001 when I was awarded South Africa’s Young Direct Marketer of the Year at the Assegai Awards. My creative talent display very early in my career set me on an upward path as she became one of the rare species – a young black female Creative Director and Creative Group Head at creative hot shops such as Ogilvy, FCB, The Jupiter Drawing Room, Leo Burnett and Lesoba Difference. I have served as a guest lecturer and an advisory council member at the Vega School of Brand Leadership (Durban). My innovative Brand Communications expertise was highlighted when I took on the role of consulting Brand Manager at uShaka Marine World, making my mark in just 3 months. This has seen me being recommended and working with the Durban Chamber of Commerce, eThekwini Maritime Cluster, eThekwini Municipality. Being an internationally published writer and poet means I am, and always will be, a big fan of words. Words that move and groove the soul, words that shift lives...coincidentally it is such words that posses the power to position organisations and keep communities as well as stakeholders well informed. My Marketing and Brand expertise will come in handy for any organisation where innovation and creative outlook is crucial for communications. My background and qualification as a Psychology university graduate is useful when it comes to people management – colleagues, clients and customers. In the space one needs to possess this strength, as s/he automatically becomes a custodian, possibly even the face and voice of the organisation. The creative flair ensures that Communication is crafted to be aligned to the company vision and mission, while it keeps the targeted audience engaged. I believe that I am well positioned and qualified to successfully take on and add value in any organisation. While I trust that my credentials speak volumes, I prefer to speak for myself during an interview! Looking forward to engaging further.
