I came across this exciting opportunity on Linkedin, after reading the brief requirements for the job I knew that I have the potential to learn and become an asset to the company given the opportunity. Currently, I am an intern at the Squad Creative Events Management. I assist in the planning, organizing and hosting events. I do a lot of administrative work from sending and updating the RSVP list. filling, taking notes in meeting to cold calling and marketing of events. Also, I am a final year student studying towards a National Diploma in Tourism Management at the University of Johannesburg. I am done with the theory part of my qualification and doing the internship as part of my practicals. In addition, I am a tutor at Teach me too. This role has allowed to use and develop my interpersonal skills such as Problem solving and great people skills. I develop different content for different topics and learners. Also, Identify problem areas and come up with creative solutions to solve them while instilling confidence in the client. Previously, I have also volunteered as a peer mentor in my second year for first-year students to assist them to transition from high school life to university life. In addition, I have worked at Railway Furnishers as a general worker main duty was being a salesperson. I had to listen attentively to the needs, budgets, and preferences of customers in order to advise them on a product or buying option that best suits them. Moreover, this experience has improved my communication skills, customer service and gave me an opportunity to interact with customers and being professional.
