I have worked in various sales positions, from selling shoes and equipment to being a rep in the Travel industry. I have experience in all kinds of customers. I believe that you can not sell anything, unless you sell yourself first, meaning that you have to gain your customers trust. This is done in the relationship you build with him and the level of service you provide. It also includes treating each customer differently and listening to their specific needs and matching your product accordingly. Successful sales people do not focus on making a sales right now, but setting a client up as a sale for the rest of their lives. I have been blessed to have been the national sales manager of a big travel tour operator, but like so many other people, our entire sales team were retrenched due to covid.
