Given the fact that South African labour legislation has undergone such a dramatic transformation including the introduction of completely new laws like the Employment Equity Act and the Skills Development Act, I am sure that you will agree with me that Human Resources require ongoing focus and attention. Over the years I have built up a reputation amongst both organized labour and my former employers as a person of integrity and of being trustworthy. As you can see from my resume, I have a strong trade union background having spent 11 years in the trade union movement. I then decided to pursue a career in management and due to my passion for people’s issues it was only natural for me to make a transition to human resources. Given the complexities of the South African workplace I believe that this gives me a competitive edge due to the fact that I have an understanding of the views of both management and organized labour. If your organization is looking for someone who; - can work under pressure - is good at facilitation in situations of conflict - can work in a highly unionized environment - will be able to command the respect of both management and the union, then I believe that I can add value to your organisation’s bottom line. I look forward to hearing from you.
