I'm 51 years of age, and resides in Cape Town from where I currently work. I have 30 years experience as a structural engineering technician, working mainly for a private engineering consultancy firm in the city. I have extensive experience as a design draughtsman and senior technician on various projects, from domestic housing to modern multi-storey flats and designer houses, office blocks, parking garages, shopping malls, educational buildings (e.g. schools, libraries), sports stadiums, restoration work, and many more. I produce various layout drawings from concrete (e.g. concrete & reinforcing), structural steel & timber detailing, as well as post-tensioned frames and reinforced brick structures. I also have some experience in bulk civils & services, as well as major civils projects, e.g. fishing jetties & harbor mooring quays (new and existing). For now I'm experienced working in Autcad 2D and SketchUp (3D).
